Impacts of Petrol Price Hike ( 3 )

My Words:
a
When you say it, mean it please, which in Mandarin it means "言行一 致 "; or else please just keep the mouth shut and don't bluff!
a
Actually "they" have their point, after the fuel price hike incident, to reduce the expenses on the fuel we must change the lifestyle by go for car sharing or take a public bus which is more econimic compare to drive and pay the bills alone, or try to stay at home if you have no need to go outside.
a
The problem is when the fuel price hike comes, it not come alone, it brings its gangs to visit us too, this is what we called "chain effect" --- the price increase in the food & drink, groceries, and other goods. So we have to further change the lifestyle again? Eat less rice, meat & vegetable and eat more instant noodles as a replacement? No, instant noodles also increase in the price; then eat bread? No, bread not only increase in the price, shrinken in the size too......between no point to harm our health just because of wanna save money!
a
If we have the wealth as much as "you" have had now, we have no worry and will suggest the same (change lifestyle) to those who have low income too and to those we always claim that money no enough, as it is almost too easy and relax --- "we say it, don't mean it"!

Don't Subsidise Fuel, Don't Tax Cars

Yesterday I received an email from my eldest brother. It was an article (news paper cutting) with the title "Don't Subsidise Fuel, Don't Tax Cars" by Jimmy Wah (Bayan Lepas, Penang). Jimmy wrote this article to voice out his opinions (unsatisfactory) on the Dzof Azmi's arguement in "Fueling Trouble with Petrol Subsidises"!

Quote from Dzof Azmi: ......In fact, petrol in Malaysia is cheaper than in Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam. (The only country in the region where it is less expensive is Brunei, where it’s at just above RM1 per litre.) Still think it’s expensive? Consider this: Crude oil is currently priced at more than US$100 (RM322) per barrel. Now, you can calculate how much this would cost per litre in RM. Go ahead, do it......
Why gov & BN supporters like to use this comparison to fool the "rakyat"? No doubt that "rakyat" will never be so offensive & willing to accept the fuel price even if it is RM4 (or more) per litre if Brunei is the only country that produce the petroleum in the region. Yet Brunei is not only has cheapest fuel price, but car tax free; other countries in the region have cheaper car tax too . So how gov is going to explain this? Well, obviously they will say that the car tax imposed on the foreign cars is to protect the national cars' local market. The sad is with the fuel price hike, the market & sale of the national cars will shrinken too......
a
One thing that I still so confuse & curious about is when the global crude oil price is keep increasing, why Malaysia as a crude oil producer & exporter feel so worry? Isn't the Petronas can make more profits from the exportation of the crude oil? During the blog hopping, whenever I saw the post(s) related to the issue of "fuel price hike", I'll left a similiar comment sound like "Gov exports the local good quality fuel to the foreign countries to make profits, imports the low quality fuel from the foreign countries for local usage, to pollute the air & to harm the local people health. When global crude oil price increased, gov makes more profits from the exportation that only benefit certain parties; the costs increased from the importation to share fairly among all the "rakyat"...".
a
Anyway the above is my own statement & opinion, I don't know if the thing is really goes this way or whatever --- the fact is, even though Pak Lah has announced that follow the fuel price hike, to reduce the burden of the so called "rakyat", they can claim the cash rebate (e.g vehicle below 2000cc, RM625) upon road tax renewal at Pos Office. However, this "political candy" seem haven't yet to calm down "rakyat's" fury emotion; they keep criticizing on the gov's decision to increase the fuel price, some more gov may float the fuel price accorden the global market & may remove the petrol subsidise in coming Aug 08. [ I'm sure some of the "rakyat" still feel comfortable with the "fuel price hike", as they think that this is the best BN has did for them! ] --- Tomorrow Be A Better Day, Cheers!!!

Rahman Prediction - Malaysia Prime Ministers

Have you ever hear the so called "Rahman Prediction" before? Well is the first time I heard about this prediction from my colleague, Beatrix whilst we are discussed on the result of the latest Malaysia 2008 Election. She said that she knew this since studied in Secondary School (SPM) from a teacher.
a
I have made a table to show you what is the "Rahman Prediction" actually about? According the "Rahman Prediction", our Malaysia Prime Minister candidates will have a name begin with the alphabet R.A.H.M.A.N (please refer to the table below for better understanding):
a
a
Can you see it? Between, during Tun Mahathir Mohamad being our PM, Anwar Ibrahim who was our x-Deputy PM also having an "A" as the first alphabet in his name! But later he was found to involved in the sexual scandal & caught into the jail, and Adullah Badawi who is our recent PM is rised up to be our Deputy PM.
a
Then after Pak Lah, who will be our next PM? As we all know, Najib Abdul Razak is our recent Deputy PM, and just right he have the "N" as the first alphabet in his name! Amazing enough, right? So do you think the "Rahman Prediction" will bring us another miracle & make it come true in the future, by which Najib Addul Razak (or somebody else with first alphabet "N" in his name) will become our 6th PM?
a
If so, after our 6th PM, will the "Rahman Prediction" continue play the role to determine who is our future PM by start over again with R.A.H.M.A.N? Or there be another prediction exist? Or is it possible that after the 6th PM, we may have a first non-Malay PM?

Good or Bad? What Do You Think?

Malaysia 2008 Election has just been carried up yesterday (8 Aug 08), it has became a hot & interesting issue which us Malaysians (perhaps the foreign countries as well) really care of. As the election results will determine the fate & the movement of the Malaysia in the coming next 5 years.
a
Im sure you know better than me on the latest 2008 Election results, as you might be one of the bloggers who blog about this issue very closely & professionally. Don't you? Below is part of the news grabbed from sinchew-i.com for your reading pleasure: -

a
a
a
a

My Words:

Breathtaking news, BN has lost its political powers in 4 states: Penang, Kedah, Selangor & Perak, while failed to grab the political power from the PAS in Kelantan. This meant that in the next 5 years the opposition parties will be in power to rule in the 5 states by establish a new state government in each state very soon. But Im wondering, why should DAP, PKR or PAS still known as a opposition party? Is it just because of the political powers of the Malaysia are still majority under BN?
a
Although the opposition parties had a flying colour election results in West Malaysia, they DON'T in Borneo Island (Sabah & Sarawak)! ~Sigh~ In my state (Sarawak), the lawyer Chong Chieng Jen (张健仁) is the only DAP parliament member of Kuching Town who able to stand firm & won in 2008 Election. DAP had conducted a "10,000 People Assembly" in Chong Lin Park, Kuching a night before the 8.3.08, and the next day evening he managed beat his competitor the lawyer Alan Sim (沈耀荣) with the majority votes of almost 10,000 votes (actual votes: 9,952).....AMAZING enough!!!

So, what do you think? What is your first thought & reaction when you get known the above news? Well, is a good or is a bad, Im not in the position to further comment on this topic as Im not really familiar with the political issues. For me, please just let them have an opportunity & a try, and let the "time" be our most honest witness to prove & tell us the outcome in future!
