We Determine Our Life & Future

My GF's younger sister just attent an AIA Insurance training course. Sorry Im not about to promote you the AIA insurance, but just wanna tell & share with you the few words (phrases) printed on the cover of the AIA Welcome-kit, that really impress & touching me:
a
a
1st phrase: "Today's Decision Is Tomorrow's Freedom"a
a
Everyone will need to involve in decision making, as part of our life. Don’t be too scared when come across with a crucial situation that need you to make decision. Too much of scare and hesitating in decision making will cause us waste more time & loss more chances. It doesn’t matter even the decision not precise at the first, as we still can try to correct & make it right afterward. Always bear in mind “Never Try Never Know” & “No Pain No Gain”!
a
a
2nd phrase: "Life Is All About Choices".
a
Ya, our life is really all about choices, now even be a millionaire not only is a chance, but is a choice too.

Take A Deep Breathe

a
Take a deep breathe, taste the fresh air……breathe, breathe, breathe and breathe......
a

Food, water & air are the 3 basic needs for human survivor! But the silly problem is most people only thinking of food or water day & night, and never thinking of the AIR or in other word, seldom concern with our breathing. It has been a habit that we are more alert & care more on the things that can be see, touch & feel (no food >hungry, no water > thirsty) than the things that are less attractive & noticeable.
a
Breathing process is so nature, automatic & it happens without our control. This is why we seldom concern & just simply take it for granted. We even do not realize that we breathe non-stop & constantly everyday, every hour, every minute, & every second. Do you know that you breathe 20 - 30 times per minute? (normal breathing rate = 12-20 times/minute) .
a
a
Do you know that:~
1. Without food, human can at least survive for 7 days
2. Without water, human can at least servive for 3 days
3. Without air, human only can servive not more than 5 minutes.
Perhaps with the above, now you know how important is our breathing process & let us practice the below:
a
Whenever you are:~
Angry, take a deep breathe to terminate your emotional bomb & bad mood.
Stressful, take a deep breathe to relax your nerves & muscles.
Nervous, take a deep breathe to cool down your mind & feeling.
Phobia, take a deep breathe to calm down your fear & worry.
Frustrated, take a deep breathe to rebuild your confidence & aspiration
Bored, take a deep breathe to ensure that you still ALIVE…! :p

HONDA’s Sumatra Rhino Rescue Project

a

a
According to WWF-Malaysia, the Sumatra Rhino is the smallest Rhino species which critically endangered due to hunting activities & habitat fragmentation. These species mainly found in Sumatra (Indonesia), Peninsular Malaysia & Sabah (Malaysia), and possibly in Thailand. It is believed that not more than 300 individuals left in the world, and estimated about 30 in Sabah.
a
The “Rhino Rescue” Project is initiated by Honda Malaysia & WWF-Malaysia. As a main funder, Honda Malaysia has pledged a contribution of RM5 million to WWF-Malaysia to success & strengthen the Sumatra Rhino conservation efforts.
a
Then, what can you do & how can you help in this project? The most simple way would be help to braodcast this piece of information by either write something on the “Honda Sumatra Rhino Rescue Project” or place a project logo in your website or blog, so it can reachs your readers or traffics, and have them to duplicate your work (this is what we called monkey see, monkey do…hehe...).

White Pepper Vs Black Pepper

The previous post (Dragon Fruit Plant) reminds me the another plant, which I think I should mention & share with you all here ---- Pepper (Piper Nigrum).
a

a
I guess, whenever cooking (especially soups), most people like to mix some white pepper powder into the dishes, as this not only can modify & improve the taste, also can boost up our eating appetite; black pepper plays the same role too, with an additional role, as a garnish for various kind of dishes.

Even the white pepper & black pepper can be considered as the most famous spice use in the kitchen, but most people have limited understanding on them. What is the different between white pepper & black pepper?

I was shocked, as some of my friends (they are Sarawakians & Sarawak is one of the largest pepper producers in Malaysia) don’t know that the white pepper & black pepper are actually from a single pepper plant.

The black peppers are produced from the immatured green peppercorns (shell + seed, some even the seed not yet properly formed). These immatured pepper fruits are dried directly under the hot sun after harvested to become black pepper;

a
However the white pepper are produced from the matured peppercorns (color turn into yellow green, orange or red with seed properly formed). The harvested matured pepper clusters are firstly soaked in the water (pool), so that the shells rotted & can be easily remove from the seeds in the following washing processes. The seeds are later dried under the hot sun to become the white pepper.

How Is The Dragon Fruit Tree Look Like?

Dragon fruit is olive-shaped, it has a reddish outlayer skin and soft whitish or reddish (pink) flesh with lots of tiny jet black seeds. I guess most people know the look of the dragon fruit & it might be one of ur favorite fruits. But do you know how is the Dragon fruit tree look like or can you imagine it?
a
Due to long period being working outstation and not stay at home, so I dont realize that there is a dragon fruit tree at my home back yard, untill recent time I back home on 29/8 . Hmm, how to say? Actually I did saw this plant during my CNY celebration at home early year 2007, but that time I thought that it was a Cactus tree! I t really look like a Cactus tree:

a
a
You know how lucky am I? The tree is yielding flowers! So Im not only have chance to see the Dragon fruit tree, but also its flowers! The 1st flower was bloom on 31/8 & the 2nd flower was bloom on 1/9 mid-night with nice sweat smell fill the air whole nigth. The Dragon fruit flower is big & white (roughly 20 cm in diameter) . According to my dad, the flower only bloom at night time (normally mid-night) and only live for one night.
a
a
a
a
a
It was amazing, according to my mum, the very 1st time the Dragon fruit tree yield flowers, she won the Magnum or Sport Toto’s prizes for 7-8 times continuously. Anyway not the big prize, but only the console prizes (RM60 & RM200). I
f you think that invest in Magnum, Sport Toto or lottery is the best way for you to achieve the wealthy & financial freedom, I strongly suggest you plant one or may be more at your home back yard as well... ; )

Chipster Nothing Else Matters Contest

Last Sat (8/9), I went shopping with Fern at Boulevard Shopping Mall (Imperial Mall), while hanging inside the suppermarket, something attracts my attention, guess what? Is the rack/corner which display with Chipster potato chips! It reminds me the online “Chipster Nothing Else Matters Contest” for Chipster’s fans which I get knew when I came across www.kennysia.com few days ago.
a
I never tast Chipster potato chips before, so I had bought one pack of Sour Cream & Onion Chipster potato chips to have a try that day. Honestly, yum yum...tasting good & delicious.
a
Tuesday evening (11/9), when i log in my friendster account, Oop, I noticed that there was a small Chispter button on the friendster home screen (as show in the picture). Due to the curiosity, i clicked & it brought me to a Chipster’s fan club’s friendster profile. Then I clicked on the link provided to log in the Chipster website (
www.chipster.com.my) & wanna to find out what the Chipster Contest is about?
a a
After I viewed the Kenny’s Chipster artwork, I thought that I must at least have a basic knowledge & skill in photoshop editing in order to complete the tasks, but actually it is not, it is easy & not as tough as I expected, as Chipster has provides the simple tools for us to edit the background template, all you need to do is just simply follow the step by step instructions till finish the 5 steps, haha...you see, my 1st moment as shown below (hmm, a silly mistake in the dialog box, blue shark instead of "JAW" lah!):
a

a
That night, after reading book, it was almost 12 mid-night, I dont know why suddently Im so excited & searching in the rubbish bag, wooosh~~~ finally the packing of Chipster potato chips that I thrown away on Sat night found. Needless to say, just because of I wanna join the contest & the contest requires the participants to upload a photo with he/she holding a package of Chipster in order to edit the moment templates.
a
With the Chipster packing, I get out my olympus digiter camera, turn on the self-timer mode, and started to capture few snapshots of mine with desired & nice pose. Hmm, not easy guys, it being the most difficult part for me, I consumed almost an hour to get this task done. It really like what Kenny said:“Chipster makes normal human do stupid things”.

a
a
a
Finally, the next day evening (12/9), I had create another 2 Chipster moments & submit to join the “Chipster Nothing Else Matters Contest”. Oop! I cant believe that I repeat the same silly mistake again, what is happening? Why the word "JAW" always floats in my mind whenever Im thinking of the big blue shark...???

My Favourite Dish - Kacangma Chicken

Kacangma Chicken is one of the traditional dishes of Hakka (Hopoh) dialect, it is quite famous among the Sarawakians, and is one of my favourite food (offcourse, Im a Hakka).
a
But it is sad, as recently Im working outstation in Miri, now-a-day hard to have chance to taste the Kacangma Chicken anymore, and those availabled in the kopitiam or restaurant not really good tasting. Anyway, whenever I back to hometown (Kuching), my mum must cook it for me (even I never request for it), as she knows that I like Kacangma Chicken very much...hmm, yummi yummi...!

a
The ingredient for Kacangma Chicken is very simple, as listed below:
1. Chicken
a
2. Dried Kacangma
Kacangma is a traditional herb with medicinal value and popular among the chinese population, especially beneficial to women, that why it is called Yimucao (益母草) in Madarin. Its scientific name is Leonurus sibiricus.
For Kacangma Chicken cooking purpose, the leaves are dried and chopped finely. More you put, more bitter is the Kacangma dish.

a
3. White Wine
If the white / rice wine is used, normally the Kacangma Chicken is tasteless, you probably only can smell the combination taste of ginger, kacangma & wine, which is abit spicy and bitter. White wine is my mum’s choice, it can be own made or just shop at grocery shop/supermarket in different brand, e.g Cap Manok (Ayam), Cap Apek, the price ranking among RM6.50 to RM12.00. Some people may use red wine, if so, the Kacangma Chicken may sweetness tasted.
a
4. Ginger
Ginger can be considered as a herb with medicinal value also. Pound the ginger finely with pestle, and reserve both the ginger and ginger juice. The quantity of ginger you add to the dish will determine how spicy is the Kacangma dish.
a
The Kacangma Chicken is normally serve after childbirth, it is believe that this dish (with ginger, Kacangma, & Wine) can help to stimulate the blood circulation & breast milk production, and as a restorative tonic after childbirth.
a
Read more about Kacangma Herb/Kacangma Chicken.
(Remark: My mum never use the ingredients like sugar, salt, sauces & water)

a
a
a
a
a
a
a
a
庆幸的是那时我每逢假期就PART TIME(这也是是个正确的选择,不然呆在家里游手好闲,可能就会影响之后的抉择...)
a
a
