7th NMM in JW Marriott Hotel

Hi every one, Im back! Hmm...1st of all, very sorry that almost more than 1 week time I didn't update my blog. As mentioned in my previous entry, Im not around, Im outstation under company's purpose to attend few events like 7th NMM and Fund Raising Health Screening Campaign since 19th Jan till 24th Jan.
a
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
a
a
Well, actually I just attent the 6th NMM (Nationwide Managerial Meeting) at Cheras not long ago (Dec 07), and last week (19 Jan) I attent another one, 7th NMM in JW Marriott Hotel (just opposite the new shopping mall, Pavillion) at Jalan Bukit Bintang.
a
That day arrived LCCT at round 12:30PM and gather with colleagues from other East Malaysia Outlets at LCCT before depart to Caliber Hotel where we lodging. After hotel room check in, we went to the Blue Dragon Cafe (just next to the hotel) for lunch.
a
From left: Betty (KK), Emelda (Lahad Datu), MokCF (Tawau), FamSS (Sibu), LingKC (Bintulu), Buddy (KK)
a
a
The 7th NMM was start at sharp 7:00PM in Room Bintang 1 & 2 at Starhill Conference Centre (Level 3) of JW Marriott Hotel (seem is 6 or 7 Star Hotel...)! The agenda of the meeting more on the Wellness Coaching Programs, include the following programs which to be launched in year 08:
~ Weight Management
~ Diet Therapy in Preventing Stress Complications
~ Detoxification
~ Smoking Cessation
a
Photo taken in meeting room
Anyway, the above services temporary only available at certain outlets, which we called B.P Diagnostic Center. As the launch of such programs need a professional group that consist of doctors, pharmacist, trained staff nurses, nutritionists / dietitionists and etc.
a
It is always an encourage for a company which currently only rely on single product (service) to have some upgrades to become a multi-tasking company with several products (services) to sell, as it is more competitive. However, to make such upgrade a success, we must at first have a proper & detail planning and must at least have an experienced & trustworthy professional group(s) to assist & monitor the growth of the business. Otherwise, not only can lead to neglect in the old product (service), at the same time the new products (services) can be a burden to the company, at last the company might lost it competition advantage(s) in both new & old market.a
a
I hope that it is a right choice for my company to introduce the new service (wellness coaching programs) to the public, and hope that with the commitment & co-operation from the staffs of all levels, they can manage to acheive the goal(s) & success and become the leader in the healthcare industries.
8 Things Im Grateful For
I have been tagged by Hazel agian, this being the 2nd tags from her in Jan 08. Well this tag sound great "What the 8 things Im grateful for?". ~Sigh~Honestly, I never thing about it & embarrassed, all these while I seem take everyhing around me just for granted. That why my mind suddently becomes so blank so doubt & so frustrated when Hazel raised me this question!
a
Anyway, I have tried my best to list you the top 8 grateful things that impact me deeply to show that Im not a bloodless guy with no sense & feeling! I want to be a thankful guy!
a
1. Thanks to my dad & mum, they brought me to the world on 20 Feb 1979. Although not a rich family, but with your endless love, care, shelter & support, I able growth up happily & healthily! Here the begin of my life & future!
a
2. Thanks to my siblings (4 brothers & 1 sister), with you all around me, I have a wonderful & memoriable childhood. Although we did quarrel, fighting & hate each other oftenly, this makes us become stronger & independent, and from that we learnt to respect each other & be more understanding!
a
3. Thanks to all my friends, no matter you are a good friend or a bad friend, it really doesn't matter to me! Most important thing is I have the chances to meet with you all who having different family background, attitude, behavior, thinking, perception, culture & religion and etc. From the bad, I learnt the good & let this "good" be part of my life; from the good, I learnt the bad & try to not adopt the "bad" in my life. You all open my eyes!
a
4. Thanks to my love, Fern, who being so nice, patience & understanding to me. I appreciate your care & encouragement when Im down. You light up my life with joy & happiness!
a
5. Im great to have a job since Im graduated from university. Thanks BP for giving me a chance to join, stay & grow up with the company. I have my good & bad time here. Here I learnt the self management & development, marketing & communication skills and etc, and been given chances for travelling!
a
6. Thanks to the natural environtments (life creatures & dead creatures) that surrounding me! With your existance, I have somethings to see, hear, feel & etc. My life & memories is not plain!
a
7. Honestly, I only have few friends who join in the blogging life, only one is Active Blogger, the rest are "sleeping" bloggers. So thanks to all of you (who are strangers to me...:p), who recently reading my entry (blog), especially those who visit & drop comment(s) to my blog regularly, I really appreciate it! Without your continuous support & active participation in my blogging life, I don't know how long my interest in blogging will last?
a
8. Lastly & of course I won't forget to say "TQ" to a person that I respect the most! Im not sure if you are a good guy? But I certainly agree that your aren't a bad guy! Hey, I still can hear your breath, you stilll alife! You have live your life meaningfully! Hope you have a bright & success future. Thanks Amei79.
a
Roti Telur Satu!
a
a
a
a
a
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
a
There is a situation by which a sfuff is actually worldwidely famous, can be say that almost everone knew about it; but sometime when someone mentions about that stuff, we could be have no idea what is it? This make us looked like an idiot or a person who not in the society trend into others eyes.
a
Sarawakian (S) is communicate with a KL resident (K)
Example 1:
S: Hi, waitress, give me one tin of Cola.
K: Pardon, what u want?
S: Cola!
K: Ha...? Pardon?
S: Coca-Cola please...
K: Huh? U meant Coke iz?
S: Coke? no Coca-Cola please...
a
Example 2:
K: Hey, order me a Coke please!
S: Sorry sir, our cook is busy in the kitchen. Mind me to write down your order?.
K: No, I want the drink, Coke.
S: What?
K: Coke!
S: .............???
K: You see that, I want that drink! (with finger pointing to other table)
S: Oh..Cola iz, sir?
a
I guess most of you have experienced a similiar situation once or more before, this is neither my nor your fault. It is because of sometime we can call a stuff with several names in different place, even though we are in the same country. So next time when you are travelling, besides enjoying the view or scene (lanscape) or have some other funs & entertainments, please do remember to learn the culture & custom at the visited place too...
a
Another case happen during my university time. I went out for luch with a senior (we used to call him BoBo).
BoBo: What to eat?
Amei: How bout fast food?
Bobo: Okie...
When reached the restaurant (Kopitiam), BoBo was so curious!
BoBo: Why we come here? Didn't u say wanna eat fast food?
Amei: Correct, here it is...(with finger pointing to a stall)
BoBo: .......????
a
The reason is simple, as the term "Fast Food Restaurant" normally represents those restaurants like McDonald, KFC, Mary Brown's, Sugarbun (Available in Sarawak only) and etc. So when I mention the words "fast food", BoBo thought that we are going to visit one of the above restaurants. But what I meant is "经济快餐" (Economic Fast Food) like "Nasi Campur" (rice with meats & vegetables).
a
At last he has to agreed with me, as such "fast food" really can be served in very short moment. Some even practicing the "Self Service" system, by which you can go to the stall to get whatever dishes you want, pay at the counter & have a sit to enjoy the meal, that all, is faster than those so called "Fast Food Restaurant"! :p

ChaSiu vs Chinese Tea

a

a
a
a
a
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
a
This is a real story...while Im studied in secondary school, I did few part-time jobs during my school holiday, such as as a waiter in a restaurant, as a saleman in Bata Shoes Factory, and as a pump attendant cum clerk assistant in Petronas Station.
a
My 1st part-time job was as a waiter in a restaurant (that time Im studied in Transition Class), called "Nam Hoi Lou" Restaurant (南海楼), and my big boss was my classmate's father. 1st day of work being a bad day for me, as no one guide me properly, I didn't know what (how) to do? So always get scold by the 2nd boss (big boss's brother). He scolded: "Why just stand there like a foreman and do nothing? If dont wanna work just go home...!"
a
After been scolded by him, so I start doing something, like get order from the customer crowd. There was a table of customers ordered "中国叉烧" with some other foods & drinks. Without hesitating & thinking too much, I went to the economic / fast food stall (经济快餐档)which incharge by 2nd boss, to make an order. Once he heard the words "中国叉烧", he shouted on me: "if drinks, please make order at drinks' counter...!"
a
Im a bit blur that time, but no choice, so just went to the drinks' counter and asked the girl who make drinks:"中国叉烧 order here isn't it?" She didn't answer my question, she lifted up a big tea pot & pour the tea inside a beer glass & past it to me:"Here is your 中国茶烧!" OMG, what a shame, it was "Hot Chinese Tea", not the Chinese Roasted Pork (ChaSiu) as I thougth......
a
As Im hardworking (it is true... :p), so at the last this 2nd boss (I called him B-哥)likes me very much & be so good to me...he taught me quite lots of things---the most memoriable one was the teaching on how to remove the bone from chicken claws. He was an expert, he can remove the bones from 3-4 chicken claws within one minute time!
New Year's Traditions Tag
I received a tag from Hazel, this being my first tag in my blogging life. Very simple, person who been tagged only need to answer one question as below:
a
What are some of your new year’s good luck traditions?
Rules :Copy the person and persons’ names that sent it to you and add your own at the bottom of the list. It really helps to build community.Lets start it here!
a
1. My mom used to collect some coins and when the new year comes she put the coins in a bowl and shake it to create sounds. She said its good luck for money throughout the year. And also wearing dotted dresses on new year don’t know why. CC/chalyza/keep
a
2. My old folks always told us to avoid spending money on new years day. They said, once you spend on the first day of the year, you like to spend the rest of the year.Behind d Scenes of ME/ Retchel’s Pure Life /A little bit of me
a
3. I grew up believing that if you have some money on your pocket (whatever you’re wearing) come New Year’s eve it will ensure steady flow of income throughout the year. The other belief is that the main door of the house should be wide open come New Year’s eve so that good luck will be ushered in. Juliana of MY WORLD and JULIANA’S LAIR.
a
4. I don't have any traditionals during New Year. Juliana RW
a
5. I have keep a RM50 note which the serial number is begin with number 8 and end up with number 8 also, between the number, it’s not encourage to have number 4 and number 0. By doing this we will have steady income throughout the whole life. It’s not easy to find such note. Another ways is to keep your “Ang Pao” in your pocket or put it inside your pillow on the New Year eve before you sleep. Hazel
aa
6. I don't know any traditions during New Year (1st Jan?) as no one tell me before. But if Chinese New Year, I can tell you a lots, which we called taboos like what the eldery told us:
~ Not to let the container that used to keep the rice be empty
~ Not to break any thing, like glass or glassware, if do happen, please say: "富贵花开, 越碎越平安!"
~ Not to sweep the floor & wash the clothes during the first 3 days of CNY
~ Not to scold or beat the childs
~ Not to wear black colored clothes and etc. Amei79
a
How about you? Mind to share yours tradition(s) during New Year? Please do drop me a comment and post this tag on your blog. Yes, all of you who recently reading this entry, you have been tagged. Have fun ya....haha :p
Can We Trust Advertlets.Com?
Since last night Im experienced a problem in log in to my own blog, when I still awaiting the blog page finish to loading the page contents (files & images), it suddently & automatically re-direct my blog URL to other website URL which not belong to my (http://www.adbaaz.com). Im so frustrated and worried of someone had do something on my blog, and I'll never get back my normal blog anymore in the future! ~SIGN~
a
This morning suddently someone name flashed over my mind, he might able to tell me what the problem is & how to get rid of it...so I dropped an e-mail to
iCalvyn.com for assistant. Later do some blog hopping, by chance, johnnykiu.com visited, this being the 1st time Im there and get to know that the domain of advertlets.com has expired, as adviced by him in his entry, temporary remove the advertlets's ads from blog will solve this problem (of course it works)! Between, thanks to iCalvin for the propt revert & explaination of the above issue.
a
When having the blog hopping, I noticed that most of the blogs still not yet back to the normal. So if you are one of the victims & recently reading my entry, please temporary remove the advertlets ads from your blog, while Im thinking permanently remoive it from my blog.
a
Why? I have heard fews bad comments on advertlets.com lately, one of them has been raised up by SlowCatchUpKuan. Secondly, is all above the trusty & confidence, how come the advertlets.com as one of the well developed Asia's blog advertising community can let this happen? How come they never realize that their domain is close to the expiring date and renew it before the date? If they do so, surely won't have such services interuption which brings an inconvenient to all blogs that put up their ads.
a
Will advertlets.com just disappear like this? I don't think so, as the shown in the picture below, the domain expired on 3 Jan, 2010....I think they have renewed their domain, but need sometime for the services recover & back to the normal.
First Surprise to Us Malaysians
The sex DVD of our Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek has being the 1st surprise to us malaysians in new year 2008, this has became the hottest headline in most of the local and foreign media channels these few days.
a
Dr Chua (Health Minister, & MCA Vice-President) has bravely amitted that he is the man in the sex DVD and openly appolized on the mistake on 2 Jan 08, and on the following day (3rd Jan 08), he resignated all his posts as the Health Minister, MCA Vice-President and member of Parliment before other parties (MCA or PM) take a discipline action on him.
a
I write this entry is not to judge his behavior or mistake, everyone can has different judgement on this case, right or wrong we never have an accurate answer. He is a bravo, he choose to responsible to the mistake done and face the reality. One thing for sure, he is not the only man to have a "girlfriend" to fulfill the strong sexual desire, most people just cant accept it because of he is a political celebrity and one of the leaders in the country, and what more, he is a hubby & father of someone...! Now everyone is interested to know & try to have wild guess on who is person & what is the intention to record & spread the sex DVD to the public.
a
Well, I cant deny that Dr Chua is a good leader & a capable Health Minister, as he himself is a doctor, so he know better than others on how to improve & enhance the healthcare delivery system in the country. The launch & enforce of the 2 healthcare acts lately, "Privatization in Healthcare Facilities & Services Act" and "Pathology Act" is a new milestone & revolution in the healthcare industries, which ensure the public can enjoy the quality services and at the same time, their rights & interests being protected & guaranteed. He is trying to recommend the combination of western medicine & chinese medicine too in order to compensate the weakness among each other, and try to introduce the chinese physician into the government hospital(s).
Lastly, hope our X-Health Minister, Dr Chua can escape from this very down period soonest, wish him good luck & have a happy new life & beginning!
a
a
Please Allow Me to Have Dreams
Well, year 07 just in history 4 days ago, no matter it was a good year or a bad year for you, everything is over, you have no point to bother about it anymore, why? Because of we can't just "immerse" ourself in the pleasure memories, as there are many many other good better things awaiting us to knock their doors and of course there are lots of challenge awaiting us to overcome too; at the same time we can't just trapped ourself into the unpleasure memories and let it being the obstacles to move toward, is time to climb up & is time to do somethings to change it, but first you must at least have some initiative & motivation!
a
I noticed that most of the bloggers have their so-called new year resolution, is a good sign, at least they know what are they wanted and what are they living for...this kind of people normally have clear mindset & goal(s) , doing the thing(s) step by step with proper planning, they are closer to the door of "SUCCESS"! In other words, they might be a bit "KiaShu"...:p
a
Mmm~~~Allow me to have my new year resolution too, please be one of my listeners and see if one day I have make it dreams come true?
a
1. Buy myself a All-in-One (3 in 1) scanner with printing, copying & scanning features within the first 1/2 year. Had do some survey on this item (include the market price), currently 2 brands are in my target -- Canon PIXMA MP145 (cheapest quotation: RM248) & HP Deskjet F4185 (cheapest quotation: RM268). The cartridge for Canon is more expensive than HP. I prefer the Canon.
a
2. I have stopped reading book since late of Oct (almost 3 months) due to too crazy with blogging stuffs. In year 2008, I'll become book worm again & read at least 1-2 book(s) a month. Between, as all these while only Mandarin books read, so will try some English books as well. So far only one English book bought, "Secrets of Internet Millionaire" by Stuart Tan. (Note: I will post the book review here each time I finish read a book)
a
3. Im a bad credit cards' debtor, recently I have around RM4K of bad debt for my Master & Visa card (of course for some of you, this is only a small amount). I'll try to clear the debt within the first 1/2 year and keep it below RM200 (or less) per credit card monthly.
a
4. Will register a domain for my blog to replace my blogspot if www.amei79.blogspot.com able to achieve at least 25 visitors (readers) a day consistantly even not doing blog hopping and etc for certain period. But may not doing so too (have a domain) even had hit the target, as in my opinion, if blogging only for fun blogspot or other free domain is more than enough; unless we are really interested in internet marketing (IM) and wanna turn our blogs into online money making blogs, then a registered domain is strongly recommended, as it is all about trusty & confidence.
a
5. Visit at least 2 places or have vacation trip at least 2 times in year 08, hope can make it during the Harvest Festival (Gawai) & Hari Raya. Places to visit in the list are Langkawi Island, Cameron Highlands, Mulu National Park (Caves), Singapore and etc.
a
6. Money saving of RM200-500 monthly in bank account, of course this is not my final aim, I'll try up an investment if the time & opportunity comes, Im targeting one of the OSK Funds which the rate is recently at a decreasing trend.
