Hey this is not really a joke! I experienced this one upon my part time at Petronas Station. Of course that liar driver is not me, but I'm the idiot who has been cheated! : (

Here is the story: The liar van driver order Super for a full tank. When the fuel price on the display screen ran almost to RM50 plus, he instructed me to stop filling the fuel immediately and asked me why I fill Super but not Diesel? He also asked me that, you don't know how to listen & differentiate the engine's sound? He even claimed that by just listen to the engine's sound I should know this van is using which type of fuel (Super or Diesel)! [ Can we? I'm not really so and I'm wonder if an experienced mechanic able to do this? ]

He later called a towing service company to pull his car to the nearest workshop, and said that he will come back soon with the receipts, as I will need to pay all the service and maintenance charges for him......of course, at the last, he never turn up with the receipts......My colleague (a female) saw him had lunch alone at a "KopiTiam" with the van parked infront the Cafe...anyway the tow truck is not in the scene!

Do you know how to differentiate a petrol car from a diesel car? Well, as I know, the engine of a petrol car needs a "spark plug" to ignite the combustion of the fuel (petrol), while a diesel car needs none ( this is the only different I knew so far ). You must know this if you are a car thief, or else you will never can drive far if the car that you have stold is out of fuel as you don't know if petrol or diesel to fill the tank?

If one day, your boyfriend girlfriend or hubby wife has thousand reasons that he she can't accompany you, and make a statement that he is busy having fun or making love with other girl guy. The statement is made on "April Fool" (1/4), so what would be your first respond or reaction? Just treat it as a joke and a fool? Or no matter how & what, you surely will try to check it if it is a joke or a truth?

How about if you found that he she is really on a bed with a girl guy (either naked or wearing clothes) but they are neither look shocked nor nervous when they saw you, and just act like nothing with saying of "Hi, surprise...Happy April Fool..." to you? So what would be your next reaction & action?

Oop, Un-affordable Body Weight!

Obesity is a health issue which has long alerted the alarm of health nationwide, due to lack of the physical exercise, imbalance diet, genetic problem & etc. Malaysia as a new developed country also having this health problem, especially now-a-day the so called fast foods (e.g Mc Donald, KFC, Sugarbun...etc) have become the food celebrities among the small childs, teenages, youth, even adults & the eldery. That why recently the MOH (Ministry of Health) has tries to ban all kinds of fast foods' advertisments to be published in the newspapers or on the local TV channels.

How far is your health conscious on the seriousness of obesity? As I know majority of the female are quite very concern with their body weight & body shape. During my university, us guys not hard to hear the complains from the girls, claimed that they were fat, they were overweight & wanna on diet programme to keep body slim & so on. Well, I won't deny that some of them were really looked abit fat & plump, but many of them for us guys were actually quite good looking & slim. Then why should them still make noise? Are they over health conscious?

Is it any possibility that they girls don't have the right definition on the word "SLIM"? They may not even know how to diferentiate the physical look of "THIN", "SLIM" & "FAT" as well? Honestly, I have no idea how to diferentiate the body shape too, especially between thin & slim. Any suggestive figure or measurement can help in the differentiation?

Just because of we don't know how slim is considered as slim, so many of us may undergoing an endless & un-worthwhile keep fit & diet programmes......However, if you only eat less but with balance daily diet and having a regular exercise as part of the "keep slim" programme, it is still fine, it won't harm your health and at least one thing for sure, you have changed your life style to the healthier one.

Instead of chasing for the dreamed slim body shape, would advice just to monitor & maintain your body weight BMI (Body Mass Index) within the normal limit. What is the point that you are slim but you are actually underweight or unhealthy? You may say that body shape (external look) is important to create a self confident in approach to the public & social life; then how can you explain that some plump guys like kennysia ( haha...he will never know Im gossiping him as he will never come to my blog...:p ) can be so confident in his social life & became a blogger celebrity? ------------------------ [MOH-BMI Calculator]

There is a situation by which a sfuff is actually worldwidely famous, can be say that almost everone knew about it; but sometime when someone mentions about that stuff, we could be have no idea what is it? This make us looked like an idiot or a person who not in the society trend into others eyes.

I guess most of you have experienced a similiar situation once or more before, this is neither my nor your fault. It is because of sometime we can call a stuff with several names in different place, even though we are in the same country. So next time when you are travelling, besides enjoying the view or scene (lanscape) or have some other funs & entertainments, please do remember to learn the culture & custom at the visited place too...

Another case happen during my university time. I went out for luch with a senior (we used to call him BoBo).

BoBo: What to eat?

Amei: How bout fast food?

Bobo: Okie...

When reached the restaurant (Kopitiam), BoBo was so curious!

BoBo: Why we come here? Didn't u say wanna eat fast food?

Amei: Correct, here it is...(with finger pointing to a stall)

The reason is simple, as the term "Fast Food Restaurant" normally represents those restaurants like McDonald, KFC, Mary Brown's, Sugarbun (Available in Sarawak only) and etc. So when I mention the words "fast food", BoBo thought that we are going to visit one of the above restaurants. But what I meant is "经济快餐" (Economic Fast Food) like "Nasi Campur" (rice with meats & vegetables).

At last he has to agreed with me, as such "fast food" really can be served in very short moment. Some even practicing the "Self Service" system, by which you can go to the stall to get whatever dishes you want, pay at the counter & have a sit to enjoy the meal, that all, is faster than those so called "Fast Food Restaurant"! :p

This is a real story...while Im studied in secondary school, I did few part-time jobs during my school holiday, such as as a waiter in a restaurant, as a saleman in Bata Shoes Factory, and as a pump attendant cum clerk assistant in Petronas Station.

My 1st part-time job was as a waiter in a restaurant (that time Im studied in Transition Class), called "Nam Hoi Lou" Restaurant (南海楼）, and my big boss was my classmate's father. 1st day of work being a bad day for me, as no one guide me properly, I didn't know what (how) to do? So always get scold by the 2nd boss (big boss's brother). He scolded: "Why just stand there like a foreman and do nothing? If dont wanna work just go home...!"

After been scolded by him, so I start doing something, like get order from the customer crowd. There was a table of customers ordered "中国叉烧" with some other foods & drinks. Without hesitating & thinking too much, I went to the economic / fast food stall (经济快餐档）which incharge by 2nd boss, to make an order. Once he heard the words "中国叉烧", he shouted on me: "if drinks, please make order at drinks' counter...!"

Im a bit blur that time, but no choice, so just went to the drinks' counter and asked the girl who make drinks:"中国叉烧 order here isn't it?" She didn't answer my question, she lifted up a big tea pot & pour the tea inside a beer glass & past it to me:"Here is your 中国茶烧！" OMG, what a shame, it was "Hot Chinese Tea", not the Chinese Roasted Pork (ChaSiu) as I thougth......

As Im hardworking (it is true... :p), so at the last this 2nd boss (I called him B-哥）likes me very much & be so good to me...he taught me quite lots of things---the most memoriable one was the teaching on how to remove the bone from chicken claws. He was an expert, he can remove the bones from 3-4 chicken claws within one minute time!

Tough Life

Money never enough to support our daily expenses, especially with the raised of the price in everything, it becomes an extra financial burden to us. Day by day, month by month, and year by year, life becomes tough, tough & tough, it never seem turn into better even we have tried to improve & enhance it. New Year 2008 is coming, any better suggestion to reduce such financial burden so we can live better than ever?

1. Work harder?

The problem is as an employee, is it possible that we can receive higher pay by working harder? Very unlikey, unless we are in the marketing & service line (e.g Sale Representative or deal with Direct-Sale), otherwise we are more likely to have an increasing workloads by without any salary increment. I rather work smarter than work harder.

2. Do few part-time jobs to maximize the income?

Not really a good idea, as you may dying of tiredness you will need to sacrifice your freedom & time being with your loved one on your works.

3. Do more Over-Time (OT)?

It may works, but bear in mind: If Employers themselves work OT, they claimed that they are serious with the business; if employees work OT, they claimed that the employees are slow motion or less efficiency in doing job(s)! So please never OT unless it is necessary!

4. Money saving?

Money already no enough for daily expenses, then where the extra money comes from for saving purpose? O.K, just assume that we do have extra money to be saved in bank account, is it safe? No, is risky, as if the inflation has comes & causes the currency depreciation, your RM10K no more equal to RM10K, but less, for sure you will be suffered & cry with no tear.

5. Having investment or establish own business?

But some predict that there might be an Economy Crisis in Year 2008, and those who currently been employed are advised not to have any wild action like quit the recent job & become a Boss, it is risky. But some says never try never know & no pain no gain…of course you can have a try at your on risk, nobody will bother your business!

6. Financal Planning?

Ya this gonna be the best choice. But the problem has raised, during my 15 years in the schools (from primary school, secondary school, high school to university), I never been taught the knowledge of effective financial planning! So where to start? I have no idea. The only thing I did is read more books on this topic, hope that if not become an expert, at least equip myself with the basic financial knowledge...such as plan every expenditure, monitor the cash flow (income & outgoing cash), monitor the debt (loans, credit card) and blah blah blah...Aii...theory always easier than practice!
